Front Turn Signals

Has anyone else here had problems with turn signals falling off? My wifes 2002 325Cic had both come off a few days apart while driving.When I first called the dealer asking if they are having a problem with them the service advisor denied any problems and said maybe someone had been trying to steal them.The plastic ears on the back of the signal had broken off in a similar fashion on both.When we took the car in for inspection Saturday(the signals had caused small scrapes and dents) the first fellow still denied any known problems. While I was back at the Parts Counter buying a wind deflector the Service Adv. came back and told me they only had one lens in stock,the junior part guy said they had been having a heavy run on them.From the back of the room the senior parts guy calls out "Dude there is a recall fix on those,We've got the metal mounting ears to pop rivet on in stock."I probably was not supposed to have heard that. At this point they do seem to be making an effort to make it right for us. The original denial was a little upsetting,hopefully they can make the bodywork right.So fellow 3seriesers pay attention to your lenses they can cause bodywork problems!(sorry for being long winded)

I've also heard of this problem. A mate on BMWcar forum wasdriving along when his indictor flew up and hit his bonnet.
