Miata 1.6

post up pics of the miata. Or is it stock? There's a couple mean one's rolling around here. My grandpa has one, dunno year but i think its a newer style. 03/04??? dunno. THere pretty sweet. I bet the turbo ones can get up there. I told him to sell his current and get the turbo one. THen leave it in the will for me lol. He's a rich sob, i dont understand why he doesnt buy a real car. Like a ferrari or something. He's no fun. He's all about real estate.......he has 3 houses and a condo in florida, and a couple condo's in branson missouri(theres a lake and stuff...its an old folkes get-a-way type town)........bah im done.

the turbo is only 178, not exactly spectacular, but the car is 500 lbs lighter than a 240 so it has to be fun to drive

suspension went from a double wishbone front and back in previous miatas and the new mx5 has double wishbone front and multilink rear.

given any differences, the turbo miata is still slightly faster.
hopefully the new mazdaspeed mx5 will have like 210hp or so from a 2.0 turbo. btw the 2.0 is a destroked 2.3 from the mazda 3 and base mazda 6
so it revs good, but is aluminum block and head so its not as boost happy as the old miata engine

The 1st gen is kinda gay/geeky, and the 3rd gen kinda has those silly RX-8 fenders, none the less you can make them put out some performance.

Theres a really mean 1st gen around where I live, I first noticed this when I saw that it had a cage and a piller gauges, so i asked him if it was turbo, and he simply nodded...and i was like shit, and saw an fmic up front...

alot of pro road racers say to learn the basics on one.

Certain trims of the first gen, are kinda weak. My old neighbor had one, and would spend hours trying to drift in and around this industrail park that was a block away. He couldn't even break it loose on concrete, open diff I guess, I dunno. He said he oversteer into the turn, pull the E and it would just chirp off to the side and go forward again. I know that the DOHC motor can be sick once it's asperated. His had to be the bottom of the line motor, cause he got smoked by a CRX with a 102 hp ZC, both cars where weak as hell.
