4.3 Supercharged or 350 ???

Would ya'll suggest a 4.3 charged 87' S10 to run in a V6 class or change to a 350 ???

whatever you prefure, they will both run about the same, but with a super on the 4.3 (i suggest a turbo, but thats just how i roll) will pretty much tap it out on power, for the same price you can put a 350 in, get good power gain, and have plunty of potential left

well, assuming a throttle body, lets have a pipe dream... 350, flat top pistons (you definetly need the relief valves in the pistons) RV camshaft, and a prom cut by jet... youll have to run premium, as you would if you did a super, but you will have one hell of an awsome sound from the tail pipes, and it will hall ass, and seeings its already a 4.3 the starter, alternator, ring gear, transmission, and fuel pump, and accesorie brackets all work, and if its tbi, the 4.3 throttle body (reccomend the 350's tb) and computer with wiring will work and run the 350

I would be more concerned with the drivetrain. I have added the K&N to mine with Gibson exhaust, Jacob's pro-street igntion and Hypertech'ed the computer. It lowered the 0-60 times by 3 sec. and didn't involve a lot of work and expense. I live in the over-regulated state of insanity -- Calif -- and there isn't much I can do and keep it legal.

The problem I had was the driveshaft. The double cardan joints cannot hold up to the torque and broke with regularity. As such, I had a local shop build me a new driveshaft and have not had any problems since. The tranny is good (4L60E) and will handle a lot of abuse as will the rear end, but that driveshaft sucks.

Stock Sierras and Durangos, etc. can't run with me at all, even those equipped with duals, etc. Depending on how much you wanna spend and how much work you wanna put into it, make a choice and go with it.
