hey guys, should i get a turbo timer for my car?(stock 97 tsi turbo) will it really help the life of my turbo? are they hard to intall if i have the right harness?

the answer for the first two questions is yes...a turbo timer would be a good investment for your car. the second answer is no, not if your half-ass mechanically/electronically inclined.

if i was you i would look at the apexi auto turbo timer its real small and it has a/f ratio and volt meter. its real easy to install if you get the harness.the turbo timeris 60bucks on ebay and like 100 with tt,harness, and shipping good deal considering they cost around $120 msrp just my 2 cents

I don't see a point to turbo-tiiming water-cooled turbos.
