GSX Top speed!!!?

alright im getting a 99 GSX, but i heard the top speed isn't all that great, my friends said it was great off the line but top sux. soo what should i do to add some shit to the top?

Where are you going to drive it that fast? The GST is limited to 130 and I know the GSX is faster (no limiter) so I don't really see this as being a factor unless you're going to be running down an Enzo. And going even that fast you're going to flip or wreck. And tell your friend he sux.

The GSX is fast as hell. You don't need to go faster than 130 mph.

the 4g63 has handled over 500hp on the stock block. you won't need more than about 350-400hp on the street to smoke 80% of the cars.

Somehow I saw that coming. I'm not the only who's gonna preach this, but you seriously don't need a 12sec car at 16 years of age, and its even worse to think you can afford one if you haven't already got the money. Hell even a 14sec might be a bit much. I suggest just getting something nice to get driving experience in before you go "street racing" and trying to get a GSX.

Have you ever heard of experience before? Most 20 sometin year olds have already wrapped a slow car around a tree so they know what not to do. You will not be able to safely control a 12 second car at over 130 mph on the street no matter how skilled you think your 17 y/o behind is. Have you been to racing school? Might teach you how dangerous any speed over 30 really is. Ever taken the time to find out how many people in your area have been killed racing? Stay in school yo!

Don't be a pain in the ass Speed Racer. Age does matter, especially when it comes to experience. Age=Experience in most cases. So unless you've been driving since 12 and/or been to a racing school I suggest you STFU and grow up a bit because right now, I AM the better driver and I'm only 18.

That however goes to say age isn't everything, a 90 year old isn't as good as a driver as a 21 year old. So then I guess sanity goes into with experience and age? Shit, getting too complicated, lol. Take from us, we're not being asses, just realistic.

I think experience is good but just cause you have some doesn't mean shit. As far as street racing I think that it is stupid in general. You could be the most experienced driver in the world, but that is not going to account for what the other driver(s) does. Or what might unexpectly come out of nowhere. If you want to race take it to the track.

Dude the autobahn is a dream. When I flew back home we went on a trip across germany and france with my friends and parents so I also saw my relatives over there. We took the autobahn and it was crazy. We were goung about 180 Km and cars were passing us fast so I dont know fast they were going. The police on the autobahn have new M3 modified police cars. They look gorgeous. I saw only one and that thing flies compared to my car. Its kinda funny the cars you see in germany :), BMW , Audi , VW , Mercedes , Opel , I saw a few French cars but not much. In france the cars were completly different. Small 4 cylinder , and a few german imports. I also lost 10 pounds in France cause those bastards dont eat shit. But it was fun to travel around :).

I actually dont think that many people crash on the autobahn. They have really strict rules there for passing, etc. And the road surface is maintained MUCH better then here. People dont generally talk on cell phones or eat food while they're driving either - a lot of the cars dont even have cupholders. I saw this show where they asked a german guy why the car doesn't have cupholders. They guy was confused and said when you drive it's about driving not doing something else, or something like that. But when they do crash I bet it's bad.

I also lost 10 pounds in France cause those bastards dont eat shit. But it was fun to travel around :).
