weight reduction

what in all honesty will weigh reduction help. im not talkin like lightened flywheel i know that. but like lightened lower control arms. internal weigh reducation ect. is it jsut to cut weigh were possible

Yes it will. Every little bit matters, but in order to actually notice it, you'll probably have to drop a couple hundred pounds.

try eating a salad in place of the pizza and mcdonalds ;) im 6"0 270 and i could benefit from a green diet if i decided it was time to change my weight lol

the most important factor in acceleration is power to weight ratio
reduce weight = accelerate faster

braking distance and effort are also greatly affected by weight
reduce weight = better braking

handling of a car through a corner is also affected by weight
reduce weight = better handling

weight affects almost every aspect of a vehicles performance.

every pound that you can lose will help, but use common sense.
don't remove anything that could compromise you or your passenger's saftey.
don't remove anything that will harm your vehicles performance.
and allthough removing the cars interior will remove significant ammounts of weight, girls don't like riding in gutted cars, so don't do this to your daily driver. unless you don't like girls.

i took out my rear interior and my tool box, i went .2 faster in the 1/4

Start with lightweight rims. It's probably the easiest way to reduce weight without gutting your car or needing a meth diet plan. LOL

ok you guys might be the only people in this world to understand me i once told my girlfriend i was taking out my backseats just in my big ass 93 prelude and she almost shit her self. so girls do hate it . but you should strip it , strip it to the bare bone im talking chassis, motor, and steering wheel strip that bitch like its never been strip befor . do it for all the man that can , because they still have the dream of getting laid by there power triping girlfriends that dont pay for the car but want to control everything about it .

my girl just loved my car when i fully stripped it lol had nothing but dash and 2 seats.. everything else including insulation and all was ripped out cause the ppl b4 me were smokers and everything was yellow and burnt holes in the carpet so i said shit and gutted it all. not like it made a diff neways in my opinion but it definately gave my car a loose uncomfrotable feeling lol i dunno how to explain it lol isnt like hopping in my escape with leather seats and everything is cosey and no wierd c rackling noises and shit.. car is like 14yrs old neways the girl hated the civic "too loud.. heat doesnt get hot" lol damn i love my car :biggrin:

fuck women, whos car is it? she dont like it she can drive her own car. im close to droppin my girl cuz shes taking money away i could be spendin on my crx, but shes buyin my crx a radio for x-mas so now my crx and her are buddies. I got mad one night cuz my girl put a bag of stuff on the roof and when i said something about it i was gettin out of the car and the door shut alittle and i hit my head, so now i know my crx has a connection with my girl now cuz shes gettin my crx a radio. but my crx will be gutted out one day just need another car as a daily driver before that.
