Stalls Out When Coming to Stop

I have a '90 Lebaron. Occasionally, and very sparatically, my car stalls out when I come to a stop. I never know when it is going to do this but I also don't know why. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter thinking that was the cause but I am now thinking it may be electrical. Wondered if anyone else had this problem and knew the cause. If you know of why it may do this please respond or email to [email protected]

Maybe check the idler, make sure it's not letting off too far.

I have had the idle adjusted, fuel lines cleaned, electrical checked, and had a diagnostic test done but the car won't stall out when it is at the shop so they have trouble finding root of problem.

They won't take it for a run?

This isn't very helpful, but learn to drive with two feet. As in, brake while revving the engine a bit.
I drove a 1992 LeBaron for 3 years that had this problem, and a friend drove a 1991 LeBaron and also had this problem. [Ironically enough, I now drive a Cirrus and no longer have this problem, but take a gander over to the Cirrus board and you'll see the same problem for a lot of thread topics]
It was obviously electrical with mine, as the power would surge. Three mechanics could not figure it out and we did the whole battery, alternator, alternator routine. Diagnostic machines did not diagnosis it. After being angry for the first year, I got over it and just learned to two foot it in the city.

Yup, thats a common problem. Your torque converter clutch isn't unlocking the solenoid for it has gone bad, put in a new one ad it will take care of it.

Vehicle speed sensor and the connector also a very common problem on any of the older chryslers that were 3spd, as well egr valve will give you the same problem you're describing. what engine and tranny do you have?
My own cars a 90 lebaron Gtc and I work as tech at a chrysler dealer.
maybe i can lend a hand
