Looking to get new tires for my 98 CR-V. Still driving around in the tires that came on it when I bought it used 30,000 miles ago, and I'm long overdue for new tires. These are so bad my ABS acts up with the lightest bit of anything on the road.
Been reading lots about the Yoko's on tirerack.com and like what I'm reading.
Wanted to get some input from users if anyone here has them. I live in upstate New York, so I'm looking specifically for snow use feedback.
Thanks!

I have the yoko Geolanders on my Lexus RX300 and they are a very good tire but I wouldn't think on the CR-V you would want them. They cost me almost 1.5-2 MPG due to the tire design. They might be a little to much for the CR-V. I have a Nitto tire on my CR-V that works very good but I don't have the snow where I live.

I have a '98 CR-V that came with Bridgestone Duelers. Bought Yokohama Avid Touring 3 years ago from tirerack.com. Great price, much quieter and smoother ride with better dry and wet grip. However after 33,000 miles the 80K miles tires are almost bald and I wouldn't consider our driving style as aggressive.
If you're willing to live with the poor wear durability, these tires have been excellent in every other category. Although tire rack will honor the warranty, they want me to ship them back to Nevada as my local Yoko dealers won't touch these tires bought at tire rack. The cost of shipping is equal or more than the warranty due so I may spend more and try Michelins from Costco with their sale. I'll be fully warranted, free rotation and balance and road hazard repairs.

I wound up getting Bridgestone Insignias and have been really happy with them so far. I read some bad reviews on tirerack, but decided to trust my mechanic and I'm glad I did. :)

I put the Yokohama Avid T-4s on my 2003 CR-V a little over a year ago. Much quieter ride than the original tires, but I only got about 15,000 miles before they're down to the wear bars. :disappoin I'm not pleased! Looking for better replacements.
