I have a 2003 Envoy XL that just developed an "evaporative leak". In other words, the fuel tank is leaking vapors at the filler neck. The estimated repair bill is $1000 to replace the fuel tank. Any one out there have a similar experience and/or words of advice.

If it were mine I would glue it with some sort of two part epoxy.Ihad a transmission that was cracked and glued the case back together with epoxy and then drove the car for another 5 years and when i sold it it was still holding together. It is worth a try you don't really have anything to loose. Is this a common problem. I have never heard of the tanks cracking on these trucks. How do you know the tank is chacked at the filler neck.
Ciao,
Chris.
