Here is the article: Nissan will introduce a new sub-compact car to the US market to address the sales success of Scion. The new Versa will be sold in both 5-door and sedan forms and will slot below the all-new Sentra due next year. Versa will be powered by a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine rated at 120+ hp and 125+ lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) will be available as an option. Nissan is aiming for an MSRP starting at $12,000 when the Versa goes on sale next year.

i like my xb better lol as far as a stock ride. The power on the nissan is definantly better though. Thats exactly what scion should have done. I think i should have waited, i buy one of those in a heartbeat for a daily. Especially if its only 12k. THe one that is done up owns > scion. XA's blow.

The one on the bottom is the Sport concept that came out in April, Nissan hasn't said anything about building it yet. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they produced it. The looks alone own any hatch that the US has seen yet.

i saw an rx-8 when i was in LA that i fell in love with. i didnt get a super close look at it, but it looked like both the goofy front fender flares and the STUPID back doors were like blended in so you couldnt see them, it look more like a 7, and it was sick. i really really really really liked it. if they would have just made the damn car like that in the first place...

+1 hit and run. I was going to snap. Scion is toyota, cant diss toyota. But there definantly not everyones flavor. I like mine though, but it does look way better than stock lol. And as far as a daily, it owns all. Plenty of room to pack shit. I picked up all 4 mounted and balance rims/tires in 4 huge boxes in this small LOOKING thing. There was still room to pack little stuff in. Gas mileage im 98% sure it prolly owns anything in your family right now. Has 4 doors. Fits 5 people COMFORTABLY. Girls think its cute. And yea no rice boy fags rev on you every where you go. And police dont follow as much. I feel worry free in this bitch. I just swurve it slow and easy and enjoy the radio(which i hadnt had one for 2 years prior!!!).

basically i bought it because its the total opposite of the 240's. I can fit more than 1 person in it. I can pile a bunch of shit in there when need to(camping, pick up parts, etc). I dont have to worry about breaking down on the way home. I dont have to listen to my car fall apart. I can listen to the radio. And good gas mileage, o yea and WARRANTY. Thats basically why i got it. So now i can hammer down on the coupe and not worry about it not being together to go to work the next day. I got a couple g's saved up for spending aside from my account. Im going to take care of damaged things first(body, various little engine stuff(wires, plugs etc))....and exhaust lol, think im going exmag.

Its all business and a minor type of monopolization, it would never get to a point where one company has a monopoly but its the same type of idea i guess. I would support nissan more also, but id have to say that Nissan, Toyota, and yes honda (they dont get a caps on H though) are probably the most reliable brands you can go with. I wouldnt say hondas make good race cars, but they sure can run long as hell if people dont beat the shit out the them and rice them out and miss gears to blow the engine (happened last night in my friend teg lol).

I would much rather buy a civic for 12k. Mine has 140k and is not even clost being broken in any way. It runs as perfect as it gets, plus i have all the maintaince records (religiously serviced at a dealer) since the car was baught, thats why I am not selling it or planning on selling it. I also changed all the fluids, MC and CV-boots so it is as good as new :).
That thing looks fuglier than other cars in its class. When it comes to jap main car brands I have: Subaru> Evolution (only mitsu I like) >nissan>honda (compact 4 cylinder prefer civic over sentra though)>toyota.

i like Honda much more than Toyota. toyota is gay. they dont make anything thats cool. at all. Lexus's are nice but id rather have other luxury cars. i think the sportiest car in the Toyota lineup is a V6 Camry.

at least Honda did good (IMO) with the new Si, i would love to have one of those except for the insurance is always ridiculous on them I like RSX's they are fun to drive and have nice ass interiors. And like its been brought up, the civic is everyones favorite economy car.

Yessss I'm not the only one who had car with no radio. My seven duece Nova has the facia... but no radio! Doesn't even have speakers. The 1, yes 1 rusted speaker fell out of the dash a year ago. I love that car though, got rear ended by a Semi, and it only cost the insurance company 1500 to fix it. I can't wait to get something more economical though, and put her in storage.

honda doesnt even use double wishbones anymore. and the nsx is gone. the only cars honda makes worth buying at all are the rsx-s and the tsx.
toyota, given that it doesnt have any more true sports cars, still is more reliable and better in every way. and the is300 > rsx > tsx. and when the supra comes back, toyota will own honda in every category. lets just hope that honda releases the civic type R or integra type R, or when the NSX replacement comes out itll be better.

They new Si has a good power plant, but lacks in everything else. Too little too late. Their beloved Si died in 00'. The prelude was alright, but that thing is gone. If Yoda comes back with the Supra looking good, and running like it used to, they will be born again hard. A hard top / t-top MR-2 would be neat to see again aslong as long as it didn't resemble the MR-S in any way. The only problem with MR-2's is that they insurance companies rape you, and so does the price. I liked the last year Celica GTS. The low budget import is dead for now, no more Del Sols, Civics, 240's, Celica's, or Eclipses, those companies don't think like that anymore. Does the 24K to 40K dollar cars of today even match in timeline comparision to the cars of yesterday? ( like if today was 92' and we where all jazzed about the new RX-7, 300zxTT, and Supra TT) I dunno. Kinda sad what happened to the market. But who know's, The January car show is around the corner, maybe there is some hot shit on the rise. 3. the tsx is kinda slow from the factory but it is one of the last hondas with double wishbones and the motor is very buildable.

4. yes its my opinion, based on the fact that honda no longer uses any of the technology that made their reliability famous. they are trying to be more upscale, and the result of this is they use completely different parts for some unknown reason.

5. the new supra is probly gonna be a lexus, and its gonna be 10 times faster than an ITR.

6. the new si? slower than the 00 coupe. 196hp is not alot when it has to push around 2850lbs. and it has gay mcpherson struts in front, just like all the other civics. granted the LSD and the motor are actually good but its not enough

What is an ITR? For the price of the new Si, I would rather spend a few bucks more and just go for the RSX. The TSX is a 200 hp 4 banger, front puller right? If I'm mistaken, for 700 bucks less you can get a V6 accord with 40 more hp. I know it's not as sporty or good looking, not sure about weight either. As for the civic's I could care less, I lost interest in them a while ago. If I had to chose, my fav is the the under powered 1st/5th gen civic coupe. But like I said I'm just gonna get a 95-98 Maxima. Rode in my friends, and that 190 HP v6 aint too shabby behind the 5spd, and it's a comfy. It'll get me to school and work, that's all I need right now.

My parents are thinking about buying a Rav-4 becuase they have been looking on weekends for a while now at various SUV's and they have pretty much ruled out the Nissan and Honda SUV's they have looked at. My mom was going to buy a matrix, but she said it was too slow (like 1.6L i think?) and she like the size of the Toyota Rav-4, and the 2.4L felt pretty powerfull to her.

Cannot believe the S2000 wasn't mentioned. It is a Very nice sports car. RWD, small, all aluminum body, handles like a dream and is pretty damn fast when keeping it in the high rpms. I like it a lot more that the RX-8, which disappointed me when I drove it. Expected it to be a lot faster.

you should tell them to look at a subaru forester. my parents wanted something to replace their minivan so they looked at a CRV, and other stuff but ended up buying a forester and the absolutely love it. its a nice car, especially for what they need. (and in the winter)
