vacum shift motor question

I have a 89 yj,dana 30 frnt w/tru trac locker.the vacum shift motor has been taken out ,there is a solid axle going to the locker.I will be driving both on rd and off rd,is it better to put back in the 2 piece axle and install a posi lock w/shift fork and plug off vacum lines ? (jeep has spring over & 4:88 gears)

yeah i kept the two piece and used the psi lock cable kit and i love it. if i were you i'd either do that or put lockout hubs on it. the two piece axle is probably the cheaper of the two. but the lockout hubs is stronger.

A two peice axle can burn out the posi diffy boys and girls.
