Freeze plugs

Hey can any one give me the best way to remove freeze plugs thanks.

ummmm drill a hole in it.... put a beefy screwdriver in it and try to pry it out sideways like a skateboard or rollerblade bearing. just a guess. never done it but sounds like it would work.

I usually punch it into the block, then clamp a pair of vise grips on the edge and pull it out.

i always punch a whole in it, stick needle nose in the hole and squeeze and pull

i've never removed them before, so my input is useless, yet adds a number to my post count.
