Was running fine, parked it and when I went back to start it nothing.
Has good Battery and everything works radio,blower,lights.e.t.c.
I can here the fuel pump, but the starter is like dead when you turn the key.
Code came up 111, Check engine light is on.
Any ideas?
Thanks Bill

I can share my experience with my 93 3.8. It would get a no starter run condition. It turned out to be the small wire on the starter was loose. I could go under the car wiggle the connection and the car would start. I finally squzed the connector and didn't have any more problems with the starter.

Thanks for the tip Dan!
Yeah that was the problem, small red wire on starter. Had a spade connecter on it and was almost hanging off, its hard to see on starter side against engine. Starts and runs great, I have had good luck with this Taurus for 7 years and would like to get a few more out of it.
This board has some great info on it, thanks again.

You're so welcome. I don't usally hang in the Taurus section....because I don't have one anymore. But if one stops and thinks...the Windstar is basically a Taurus with a van body.
If you experience any over heating I would suspect the headgaskets after ruling out the fans and thermostat.

The only other problems that my Taurus has had were a bad Trans seal
and a cracked vacum hose. The vacume hoses on these older Tauruses
are starting to deteriot pretty bad. Replaced all my vacume lines, cheap and easy to do, anybody with a stalling motor may want give a quick check for vacume leaks.
What I cant believe is how much wiring they stuff under the hood of some cars, a relative has 2001 mustang v6 and ford really cleaned up the engine bay.
