Rear wiper stuck!

Ok, so here is the deal. I replaced the rear wiper motor, since it didnt work, (I bought it that way) anyways, I replaced the motor, and the wiper worked! yay! but then, I noticed today, that when I try to turn on the motor, it seems to get stuck right under the glass door. Included is a picture, with the wiper turned ON. As you can see, it doesn't move from that point on. That is the farthest it will go. It just stays there, unless I go over and pull the arm to let it loose, then it works like a charm, but I don't want to have to get out in the rain in the middle of the freeway to use my rear wiper. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

i have the exact same problem. my wiper would not move at all. the nut holding the wiper arm to the motor was over-tightened. i loosened it but it will only move if i get out and push the arm. either you over tightened the nut holding the wiper arm on or something is internally stripped inside the wiper motor, like mine.

the problem is not overtightening. the problem is, if you can see on the picture, the wiper blade gets stuck right at the bottom of the glass door. It jams in there by itself. The only way to get it unstuck, is to go and physically pull it out from underneath, then it works. It doesn't like the gap between the window and the door, which is very small, but it finds a way to stay in there.

Try checking your rear wiper stop bracket. It could be worn or out of alignment.
