my 1997 transport has a light on the dash by the winshield. I from seeing on other vehicles no that it is a alarm. Can anyone tell me
1- if it is a alarm?
2- if the reason it is not working is just because the fuse might not be funtioning?
3- none of the above and I should ignore the light that doesn't work?

Thanks.

I beleive it is to indicate that the vehicle's "alarm" (if you want to call it that) is activated. It's more of a theft deterent then a actual useful feature. It's kind of like putting the "This home montitored by ADT" sticker on your windows to make thieves move on to the next car. Locking your doors with your keyfob should "arm" the vehicle and turn on the light.

thank you very much on this and the other info from my problems. As it pertains to this ? the keyfob would probably "arm" the system and turn on the light. The only problem I have is that I bought this van used, and I don't have a remote key chain. And I have no idea how to "arm the system. In actuallity my wife sees a "alarm" light in the dash that doesn't work and thinks because of that were a target. LOL....
So if I can't get it to glow I might have to put a christmas light in front of it and pretend. Also it says in the manual that you can set the "alarm" or whatever by listening to how many times the van rings/chimes when you open the door. Correct?
Again I appreciate the help!
