Choosing a Turbo

So, if you don't know or haven't heard. I am building up an FC, changing it from a NA to a turbo.
I was wondering what I should look into for a turbo, turbo timer and BOV.
Any suggestions or questions just fire away.

keep the stock turbo for now unless you are going standalone
i think you can run the BNR stage 2 upgrade on stock fuel stuff (or close to stock ie 720s/SAFC/FCD)

That's just it, I don't have a stock trubo. Hence why I am needing to purchase a turbo.

dont put a turbo on a n/a motor, it doesnt handle it like the turbo model engine.........get a turbo engine, or a turbo model car, thats what i did. out with the n/a, in with the anni.it will save u some loot in the long run anyway.

they are dirt cheap too, i got a JDM turbo motor for $850 with transmission

I do have a turbo motor, but I do not have the turbo. As RX7 Specialties will not supply the turbo. (Don't ask why, cause I don't know)

Check the classifides on rx7club or nopistons.com. I wouldn't go with much more then a stock s5 turbo on the 6port since the higher compersion.

Well the first thing you need to asses is your budget, then what kind of power you are looking for, then what are the little extras you woudl like and see if they fit into your budget.
I often find that people want "MORE POWER", but have "FUCK ALL MONEY" so then we have to find a good way to get things to work. I deal alot with local companies having hybrids built. You can make good power for under $400 on the turbo end o things.
Keep in mind you will want to look at the compressor maps and asses the turbos performance. I often see big turbos on cars that are not setup for them. They coudl use a smaller turbo and see much better performance. If you need help reading the maps let me know, sometimes they are a PITA.

But anything in and around the 900 mark is what I'm willing to spend.
Power, I want to see a fair bit of power at the end when everything is done.
I still have to choose either 2 or 3 MM seals.
