Power steering

Can you put the power steering set up from a 350 on a 250? If not? How can I put power steering on my 72 Nova? I am very sick of my steering ratio and the only way that I would even consider making it closer was if it was powered.

I want to put power steering in my '72 307 Nova, does anybody know what parts I need or if there's any kit in the market?

Many Thanks!

need to find a v-8 p/s donor for the v/6s

and for the 250 need to find a 250 p/s donor

search junkyards and classifieds

they dont interchange

the 250 ones are more expensive than the v8 ones due to 250 ps being much more uncommon

250 p/s donor can be anything from a 60s car to an 80s pickup, pretty much any gm vehicle with the 250 in it

for the 307 you should be able to use later style p/s pump setup, from any non a/c 350 or etc, through at least 79

good luck

Well nova SS looks we're gonna lose our 'no power steering' biceps lol. Theres nothing like cranking that bitch around 4 1/2 times just for a u-turn to get you pumped!

Cheers!

I think you'll need a new pitman arm for power steering

Classic industries is great, but do your homework and you'll find much cheaper sources. Their power break conversion is like $900, I saw it on some other site, same kit, for $700.
