I see these are avaliable for the Dodge Stealth.
Has anyone ever installed them and if so, how easy/hard was it?
Cost?
Waterproof?
Pictures of the install?
I was thinking of putting a pair on my Stealth and thought it would be simple since I dont have Power locks/Windows etc.

They have gull doors available for the stealth??? that's pretty bitchin' if you ask me, but as long as the gaskets and stuff are in the right place I don't think it should leak... cost, prolly upwards of $1,000

you mean "lambo" or "scissor" doors. Gullwing is what the Delorean has. You cant put gullwings on a 3s cause the window floats free at the top, it dossent have a frame where to make it pivot. you could do T-top though but not gullwing.
these are gullwings.

those gull wings look kinda wierd IMO, but I'd love to see the finished product... and musashi, don't tell me that's a starion in your picture :p
EDIT: I didn't realize the top was cut out for targa tops... if the car was a slick top than I think I'd really like it alot, but after reading up on the thread on 3si, I'm really starting to like the look of it alot more... I really gotta give that guy some props, he didn't a pretty damn nice job (even though it isn't finished yet)

that link you posted is pretty much lambo doors.... however I think it's kinda cool that in the ad, it claims that you can open the doors regularly and vertically (if I read it right).

Deftracings VLS system can be opened that way. That link posted is not a true bolt on kit. It is a universal kit that has to be modified to work. And its still $1250. Id spend the extra 250 and get the VLS as it will save you much cursing.:p

Gullwing = Lots and lots of money.
this money wasted on looks (not to metnion doing this conversion will add alot of weight)
you can take the money spent on looks and put that towards performance parts :).
plus fabrications is rarley perfect.

umm 92vr4red... the guy on 3si's actually only spent about 700 dollars on sport hydrolics, which he actually didn't need, so that asside all he's really spent is about 20 bucks for the hydrolics off of a lebaron... so neener neener neener :p

the only ones that would have the optinon of the gull doors are those who have a home garage and ar master welders to much time and money wasted on a project like that. if you want flash i say just role with a lambo kit like musashi was talkin about. a dude in cannada had a sweet stealth with lambos looked real good. go with those :smokin:

Here's a couple things from Deft Racings website that I found particularly interesting.
"Our easiest install ever... no adjustments on the car at all. Just 6 bolts!"
" Opens regularly (OEM) with plenty of room to get into the car without having to flip a switch.
Opening points stop the door from swinging back shut. Our hinge replicates OEM door points so your door stays open on hills. Your shins stay safe & unloading is made easy again. "
Oh yeah, I'm definitely gonna buy this when it come out. If I have money. Which I don't.
