All wires are connected and and i am getting power from the battery as the grounding sparks if i tap it agaisnt the metal!! the problem is that the headunit wont switch on!! In the manual it says i have to connect a wire up to the fusebox aswell!! didnt now this?? is it true?? and if so how to do it?? the wire that should be connected to the fusebox just has a femal bullet on it!! any help much apreciated!! yer mate you need to wire it up to your fuses as it is a powerfull 1 . not 2 sure how you do it im guessing the cables come of the batery to the fuses then to the cd player ?? that makes sense to me . ????

hey the wire you have is a power control wire, because ur head unit runs straight from the battery, it needs a way to turn on and off when u turn on and off the ignition, the same as a car amplifier, that needs to be hooked up to the old radio power wire, then it should work. you will have to locate the power wire for your old head unit, put a male bullet connector on it, and then join them, turning the key to acc or on will turn on ur head unit, except that it will draw the power from the battery, the wire that i have told u to join just starts and stops the flow of current from the battery to the head unit via an internal relay when you turn the igntion on and off
