Been done a million times and a billion forums. Now ask me if I care...No.

Alright, let's all tally up everyone's preferred alcoholic drink. Now since drinks can be categorized in several categories the ones I want ya'll to enumerate are: best tasting, hardest hitting, cheapest, longest lasting and if anyone else can think of another category then submit it.

Tonight I am going to fully explore what drinks can be done with Jagermeister. And next week I am making my own Absinthe.

Best tastin - Jack and Coke. I love the bite and yeastful flavor of Jack...

Hardest hitting - Absinthe, for very obvious reasons...

Cheapest - Molson Canadian brew. It's super cheap and incredibly good...

Longest Lasting - Well, don't really know, nothing alcoholic ever lasts very long...

Banana Rum and coke is pretty good. Not a big fan of alcohol though, so I haven't tried much.

i drink mostly brew, im not big on mixed drinks unless i dress in a skirt, put on makeup and feel really girly. otherwise, my brew of choice is moosehead, but its impossible to find in saskatoon. the one place i found it it was 17.50 for 6. otherwise, ill have honey brown by some local sask brewery. its cheap, but it goes down so smooth.

how do u make your own absinthe? After seeing that Eurotrip movie (Mi scuzi) i've always wanted to try the stuff.

Hardest hitting- Everclear, that drink always results in unwanted nudity of someone who thinks they can handle it.

Wow, last night was crazy.
I had about 7 or 8 JagerSchalgers, 4 Jager Bombs, maybe 6 Liquid Cocaine amongst other drinks people were serving me.

I think my fav drink were the JagerSChlagers last night, tastes like cinamon hearts.

my brew of choice is moosehead, but its impossible to find in saskatoon.

You should move out to Saint John...we get it cheap and plentiful! (considering it's brewed there, of course :))

If I want taste: Bailey's or Creme de Bananes
If I want cheap: a 750ml Le Fin du Monde is great value
If I want drunk: Vodka and Cranberry juice
If I just want a few down at the pub: Guiness (tap!!) or Pumphouse Scotch Ale

:)

I don't understand beer. Taste like ass and not even hard enough to get me buzzed. Blech, to each their own.

But I always try something before I judge it.

Cheap vodka.... Even though its tastes like shit, after a few shots the taste doesnt seem so bad. Plus ya can't beet the price of a liter of it, hell $7 is worth a few night of drunken fun. :2cents: Or atleast it is to me. Never had money for the good stuff.

Anything with alcohol...but if I had to pick one, it has to be the Goose...Grey Goose Vodka...or any quality vodka for that matter and me get along very well. But when it's not available, I'll go for any time of hard liquor...I'm nto a beer fan, but I can down the occasional case of Carona Extra or Miller Light

I'm not a huge fan of consuming mass alcohol but I do like:

madori sour
7 and 7
malibu orange
rum n coke
strawberry margaritas
kahlua/milk
Starbuck's liquer (sp?)/milk (found it at Costco once)
screwdrivers

Ok that's a list but I have a drink maybe 3 or 4 times a year :lol2:

how does one make absinthe

vinnym86
11-29-2005, 11:40 PM
soak liquor in wormwood (Artemesia absinthium) and other herbs in grain alcohol.

Absinthe gets its psychoactive effects from the presence of high alcohol content and thujone, a primary active ingredient in wormwood.

a traditional way of preparing it would be to then pour it through a perforated spoon full of sugar, then dipping a spoonful of sugar in the absinthe, lighting it on fire, letting the melted sugar drip into the absinthe, lighting the absinthe on fire, then putting it out with water.

Yup, I posted the same brands on pg. 1 They are really good.
I am impressed that these brewers in Quebec ship it all the way down to Texas.

does ginger ale have any alcohol in it?

This thread is for alcoholic drinks only and yes those smirnoff coolers are pretty good. Theres this certain kind of cooler by the name of Woody's that supposibly has a cooler that tastes just like those pink popsicles

i'm not much for fruity tasting drinks. when i'm at clubs sure, but i'm still likely to have a simple whiskey and coke.
Actually, i take it back, one fruity drink i really like is Foreplay. 1 part vodka, 1 peach schnapps, 3/2 cranberry juice, 1/2 blue curacao. ask for it next time :)

I don't really have a drink that I stick to. I always like to try something new. Guess that's why I'm always smashed by the time I get to the club and every drink costs me 10$

$10!? well, some clubs i go to are like that, maybe more, but i usually just go to the local bars on campus. $5 to get in, ($5 more to look the other way showing ID), and $2 Whiskey and Coke. Its Univ. of Buffalo, so no shortage of drunks or pple who just wanna dance, place makes a lot of money.

Didn't exactly want to read all the way through, so I didn't notice. But yea, it's some good stuff. I'm glad they ship it down, probably only because Spec's requests it though. Not all us southerners are anti-____. As long as it tastes good and is quality is all that matters to me.
