soft spot in 05 flooring?

I just bought a 05 chevy trailblazer. In the back the "hump" on the floor below the center console, where the rear air is on the floor the carpeting kinda caves in so to speak, it is not solid? Is this supposed to be this way?

On my 02, I can bend it a little right at the rear console, but other than that it is really solid. Force the dealership to fix it if you think it isnt how it should be.
