1994 honda accord, quick questions.

sorry for all the threads. i just had a few concerns about my 94 accord. i hope someone can answer them for me. ( this is my first car and im 16 so there just some stuff that i noticed)

first. i dont kno what its call, i think its the tripometer? well i thought its suppose to add up your MILES, well mine keeps changing. the numbers all the way to the right are changing. isnt it suppose to go in miles? well mine keeps changing i think by the foot. i went a block and it went from 4500 to 5129 which is werid... any ideas?

okay second thing, there is that compartment between the drive and passanger seat. well if you open mine you can see the adjuster cable for the parking brake. is there suppose to be something covering it? is so is there an ame for it so i can look it up on ebay? is it bad to leave it open? right now theres a cardboard peice covering it.

next. under my steering wheel next to the dead bolt and next to my interior fuse box. all wires are hanging out. is that normal?

one last thing. my rims have some werid spots on them. i think there just scratches and stuff. is there something i can use to remove that? touch up paint? something eles?

oh and also. does anyone know what bubl i should put into my door curtosey light? the manuel says 12v 3.4w but i dont understand that, i went to pep boys and couldnt find that number.

EDIT, i had one more question. my brother in law told me every now and then i should put in the highest or middle gas into my car (not the regular) he said its good for your car and stuff and cleans it out. what do you guys think? thanks!
