I need some help, perhaps some one could give me the names of some good books/websites/papers on digital communication. More specificaly character recognition and how one actually converts raw noise (am radio signals say) back into information. If this makes no sense to you tell me, I'll try to be more specific on what I'm looking for.
*Edit*
Fawk, I ment to post this in the Computer forum. Tman, some one. Hook me up with a move? Thanks:)

It makes sense to me, and I know a little about this stuff. If you are more specific, I might be able to point you in the right direction for some good resources :)
