Tranny pan gasket

im changing my transmission fluid now again that my car has about 100K on it, i changed it back when it had 50K and i dont remember if i had changed the pan gasket or not, it has one of the rubber gaskets on it and if i remember right you dont have to change them?

The filter kit i got to put in came with a new pressed cork type gasket, and i would think the rubber one would be better?
So if anyone can help me out as to if i need to change the rubber gasket or not would be great

Whatever you do, do not use the cork gasket. The OEM preformed rubber gasket is made to last a long time and is superior. It should be changed only if it is damaged or you have a leak that cannot be resolved unless replaced. It's important to properly torqued the oil pan down but not overtorque. Good luck!

Thats what i thought, when i opened it and saw the cork one i thought to use the rubber one again, and seemed to kind of remember doing that the last time,
there is no leaks and it doesnt look cracked or anything so im going to use it again, in fact i alredy put the pan on but was waiting for a response before i filled it back up.
