Hi all,
would someone be so kind as to explain how to bleed the rear brakes. I changed them yesterday and now I have to pump, pump, pump before I get any braking :)
didn't find any how-to articles here after searching

thanks!

Using a helper... have them pump the brakes several times and them hold the pedal down. As they are pushing down on the pedal open the bleeder valve, letting air and fluid out, and quickly close before your helper lifts off the pedal. Repeat several times.

Another option is to buy Speed bleeders. These replace your standard bleeders and make it so one person can purge the air out. With these you loosen them and pump the brakes. They have a check valve in them to keep air from re-entering the brake system.

start from the wheel farthest from the master cyl (pass side rear) and work toward master cyl pass rear, drivers rear, pass front, drivers front. unless you changed the wheel cylinders you will not have air in the system. your rear brakes are just way out of adjustment, need to adjust them out

very helpful! Sheesh, I had to bleed BOTH rear wheels, even though I had only adjust the bleeder valve off one of the wheels yesterday.

"welcome to the jungle....uh ... I wanna watch you BLEED!"
