I have a 2001 F-150 44k on it. Sometimes here lately it deosn't want to start. Then you may try 15 - 20 minutes later and it starts. Plenty of starter power, it almost acts like it isn't getting any fuel. Change the air filter last month when it was running a little rough it helped smooth it out a little. I've never changed the fuel filter in it yet, but I don't think thats the problem. Stranger things have been known to happen. Any help in what direction I may look would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

do you hear the fuel pump cut in for about 2 seconds, if not you may want to look at your fuel pump relay or your power relay which are located in the power distribution box

it could be that, or it could be your ignition modual is going bad. i have a 93 Olds Achieva that was doing the same thing and then one day it just quit. we thought it was the pump, $130 later, still didnt run, so we replaced the relay, still didnt work. i found that if i jump certain fuses i could get it to start and run.
