kreeking noise from the rear

i have a 1.8 16v xs and the back end kreeks if im parking up a the kurb (not by goin straight up it but by going were it level with the road then up) i fort it might of been my suspension so ive pushed down on the back suspension it respondes as suspension would but it doesnt kreek, only wen im goin up a kurb does it kreek so ive got no idea what it could be also my cig lighter doesn't light up when the like are on or heat up 2 light a cig ive checked the fuses in the car and there all fine any ideas about either promblems or both would be great

sounds like a dry bush or joint, try spaying some lub on all joints and bushes etc, something like wd40 or a spray grease, to see if it stops.

with regards to the cig. lighter take out the unit and see if you are getting power to the back of the unit, if there is power there, i'd replace the unit, if no power there, trace the wiring back further, next thing i would do is take the fuse out and see if there is power to the fuse. atleast then you can determine where the fault roughly lies then its just a case of looking a bit more indepth to locate the problem.
