2006 Vortec MAX?

I was parusing the local dealer tonight and noticed a truck with odd emblems. It was a 2006, 1500 4x4, Crew cab (like the 1500HD), but it had red emblems on the doors reading Vortec MAX. A quick look at the sticker showed a 6.0 HO, 4 speed auto Super Duty trans, and a 4.10 locking rear. Price? Just over $44,000.00 Anyways, I know a few of you (Sleeper) have models similar to this one, but I hadn't heard of this particular model yet. Sounds fast, but that price!!

Nevermind. I just "built" one on Chevy's site. It's the "Vortec Max package" option. An extra $2200.00 bucks.

They pretty much let the LQ9 6.0 HO availible as a package in everything but a regular cab like the performance people want. :banghead: Nice engine, now what performance engine do the rest of us get as a replacement???????? :eek7:
