frozen steering??

any of you northern metro drivers ever heard of this? when it gets cold my steering seems to freeze up litterally i noticed it a little a few weeks ago but wed nite it was belo zero windchill and when i went to leave work it wouldnt turn the wheel was frozen. no it wasnt the lock on the wheel before some one suggest that one. i finally got it free ofter i hear something pop in the front end anyone have any ideas? i was thinking i have water in my cvs but im really just guessing . once it frees its fine too so if anyone else has ever seen this let me know

I am more inclined to believe that your rack boots are split and has allowed water inside the rack. Check your rack boots.
