After driving my 99 Intrepid (2.7 L) with no heat for some time, I have tried replacing my blower motor resistor, which fixed the variable speed controls (it would only blow AC or Heat on high before). But I still have no heat after checking anti-freeze level and heater hose temperature, hoses in the engine compartment are hot to touch. I feel it is either a heater temp switch or a servo unit somewhere. Any suggestions? Does anyone know what or where this piece might be to fix this problem? Can I test the switch easily? HELP!!!!!!! It's COLD!!!!!

Note: I do not have climite control...just the three knobs above the radio on dash.

try bleeding your cooling system, you could have air bubbles trapped in the coolant. To do this, get a length or clear hose to go over the nipple of the bleeder valve sitting by the upper radiator hose, the black housing has a bleeder screw made specifically for that purpose. Run coolant out until there are no bubbles.

there are actuator motors up behind the dash that open and close to allow the heat from the heater core to mix and move through the vents you choose. the door from the core itself must be open to allow the heat through.
