how to take crankshaft (under drive pulley) off?

how to take crankshaft (under drive pulley)bolt off? i've try everything, : impact gun (maybe there is not enough psi), breaker bar, :banghead: ... nothing is working :headshake . is it regular thread (lefty-loosy, righty - tighty :)? please help!!! thank you

$20 dollar chain wrench from your local parts store. 2 x 2 -4 lbs breaker bars. one breaker bar on the crank bolt, one breaker bar on the chain wrench (put a piece of an old belt on the pulley if you dont want to warp your pulleys) with two people applying torque on opposite ends.

unless your using an impact wrench rated at 800lbs of torque or better using a compressor putting out at least 120psi on some good lines, your not going to budge that thing on a budget impact wrench.

best investment ever made: a piece of PVC pipe that is about a foot long. Use it as leverage on your socket wrench, and pull the other way with your strap/chain wrench. Also, i put my car in gear, and that helped some too. And if you do it at the right angle you can pull one way with your strap wrench, and push you foot on the Pipe/Socket wrench. Thats how i did it. ^^ pvc is plastic it will break buy a steel pipe about THREE feet long and use a craftsman wrench so when you break it sears will give you a new one

best breaker bar i ever had was a TEN FOOT flag pole over a craftsman breaker bar! i was trying to get my axle nuts off they were so tight that the craftsman breaker bar by itself would spin the tires with the wheel on, and the car on the ground in gear and my buddy on the brakes. but let me tell ya that extra ten feet really helps out.
