Can I just pull a fuse to deactivate the ALB system on my Sonoma? and if so which one is it? It engages everytime I hit the brakes, I live where we get alot of snow and I can't make a simple stop at a sign without running into everyone. I just want my old fashion "lock em up" brakes back, they worked the best and stopped you when you wanted to stop. Anti-lock brakes suck!!!

Anti-lock brakes are by far superior to the old lock 'em up style. I know in my truck if my brake pads started getting low the ABS would kick on easier but you should deffinetely not disengage the the system. One major thing that could cause this is if you have some bald ass tires. What kind of tires do you have and what condition are they in? Another thing that could cause this is if your wheel speed sensors or all dirty or filled with shit. The ABS system works by the wheel speed sensors telling the computer when one or more wheels are going a different speed than the others. So if your front to wheels lock up the computer knows and tells the brakes to pretty much pump themselves. So there is a few things to check for, hopefully it helps.
