Changing Oil Pressure Sensor

I have a 1997 PA with what I think is a bad Oil Pressure sensor (stuck at 129psi). My question is...Should I wait for an oil change to take the old unit out? Will oil leak or run from where I take it out? I know the wires could be bad as well but I followed them as best I could and dont see any breaks or kinks.
Thanks,

As long as the engine isn't running you shouldn't get too much oil (couple of drops at the most) out of the hole that the psi sensor is in. Give the sensor change a try and go from there. They do fail and I've seen them leak really bad.

Take it out without the engine running and you will see very little oil.
