Ticket Infraction

Just got a ticket for the mods on my car. The cop didnt know that it was an SR but he saw that i had no cat, so he gave me a fix it ticket, that must be cleared by a state referee, rather than chp or officer. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this type of ticket in CA. I was just gonna put my stock exhaust, intake, intercooler back on and hope that they dont check the enigne. But i heard that they will check the engine, dyno and know that its an SR. So i dont know what to do. Thanks for the advice guys

The ticket says modified emissions under the code 27156 and i looked it up and it basically says no cat. Maybe they'll just look at the cat?...hopefull thinking....

what would happen if they went through and found you had the SR? You'd probably be in a lot of shit, if you wanted to go the hard/safe way you could swap your KA back in...what a pain.

Too bad i don't have my KA anymore, should have kept it instead of selling it. My friend sayed if they find the SR, they'll just give me more time and tell me to swap the KA back in. But I'm hoping it doesnt come down to it.

hummm... for the dude with the ticket... ur FUKED ... so this what u do...

1) get an extension
2) save about $900 for a daily commuter
3) once u have a D.C, remove the SR and all parts off the 240
4) sell the shell
5) buy another 240 and install parts in it.


OR if ur lucky

1) sell the car to ur mom (you must do smog check)
2) by it back

the ticket will be invalid bcs the car passed smog... and i don't think ur mom will need to fix it bcus as u transferred the title, the car passed emission...

i'd say just put the stock exhaust on and change anything else you need to hide the fact that you're boosting.. if its intercooler and all that stuff you listed then do it. but if the ticket is just for the cat then they might just look at the exhaust. it might also depend on who's looking at your car. if the guy is a dick then you're in trouble. if not then you should get away with swapping shit back.

i think you would be ok with just putting a cat on. they will proably make you smog it, so pay someone to pass you on visual.

Me and my Dad walk into a Walgreens and were waiting in line to get some nasal stuff for this lady at the Drop Zone. Anyway this guy comes in all bonded up with nothing but underwear on...and his hands and feet and whole body is tied up in rope and tape...everyone in the store including managers dont even take a second look at him...everyone is just nodding and smiling at him...WTF? That place is normal...Sure not everywhere in Cali is like that but no matter where we went...noone holds doors open for you or even says hello or how are you doing? Sorry to rant and go off topic but damn...
