passenger seat heater switch

Well, i JUST found this sight in my quest to find an OEM style seat heater switch for my '02 GTP.
I have been keeping a casual eye on http://www.zzperformance.com/products1.php?id=192 but the switch itself has been out of stock since i found that site almost a year ago. Now that it's winter again I have a renewed interest in getting this done.

Does anybody know where this item can be found? I am aware that this viods my new car warranty, but hey, it's not new anymore...

Have you considered raiding the junk yard? Just a suggestion.

it was never a production part to be found in a junk yard.
i have gone to dealerships to see if other pontiac models (bonneville, transport, etc) as well as new grand prix's have a dual oem style switch that could be used in my '02.

I had run accross a web site (i don't know how long ago) that a person was hand making these by purchasing 2 parts from the dealership and cutting each in half and reconnecting the halves with the switch. But I balked because the asking price was so high... But now it is now becomming more appealing to me although i can no longer find that site.

I'm going to do this mod also and just the other seat heater switch from someone on clubgp.com. Here's the directions on how to do the mod:

When your switch went out, did it just blow cold air? My heater is blowing cold air on the drivers side, but the passenger side (separate controls) is still warm. Is the switch the problem? How big of a job is this to repair?

Did you read the title of this thread? Its about seat heater switches......not blower fan switches.
