2002 taurus drivers power window

My drivers power window will not operate up/down with a touch of the control.Other wise it operates normally.Anyone know the problem and the fix? Thanks Paul

Check to see if you are getting power to the switch. If yes, then check to see if you are getting power out of the switch.

Thanks for your reply to my problem. I do have power to the window as it works fine from the switch,but as you likely know when I press the control and release it the window should go down.This part of the function does not work. When I press the switch down and release it the window stops. Any other ideas? Maybe a relay? Thanks for the help.
