radiator cap, stupid question

ok so this may be a retarded question, but i need to get my radiator cap off and i cant. ive tried turning it anti-clockwise, and it just wont come off. im doing this after the engine has been sitting all night.

any ideas

Some require you to push down with considerable force while turning counter-clockwise.

Or you could use a adjustable wrench but be careful not to crack the cap itself. Or what about one of those as seen on t.v. rubber band wrench.

ok got it, you push down, damn am i slow.

anyway fixed my problemo by the looks of it. i picked up some Bars Stop Leak and it A>O>K
