I have a 97 accord and i wonder if the same wires for the factory alarm would work for my DEI alarm. If not, what do i do with all these hanging wires. Im a newbie to car alarms so please be descriptive im good with electronics but i dont want to mess up anything in my car that would cause me to pay much more money, and what does the factory radio have to do with the alarm? It says Anti-Theft on it. Would i have to change the radio?

In some model Hondas, the power for the factory alarm and some of it's functions run through the factory radio. Usually, that's just an issue with the 98 and up Civics, though. You don't necessarily have to go to the factory alarm plug to get all of the connections for the DEI alarm. They can be found at different places if you know where to look. In all honesty, if you've *never* done an alarm before, I highly recomend taking it to someone who has. The first alarm system I ever did took me somewhere around 5 hours to do, and I even had help from an experienced installer.
