Who woulda thunk?

I posted problems with my heat not working today which reminded me of something that happened a few years back I thought you all might get a kick out of.

One day out of the blue my clock stopped working, thought it was strange but wasnt going to worry too much about it. Then maybe a week or so later I had gone to the grocery and as I was leaving I turned on the a/c..the car made this horrible sound and started shaking! I immediately turned off the a/c and it stopped, turned it on once more and there is that shaking and horrible sound again..holy smokes what could be the problem?

When I get home I get to looking around in the car, why I have no idea because I wouldnt know a bad car part from a good one, but I was trying to see anything that looked out of place to report to my husband when he got home. I opened the glove box and I notice my paper work is chewed on the edges , look some more and I find a nest in there, sure enough I have a mouse in my car somewhere! She even drug in a 101 dalmation sticker, decorating her nursery I reckon. lol

So my husband rolls in around 1am and I tell him that I dont want him to think Im talking in my sleep again, but I believe there is a mouse in the fan of my car. I explain why and he says he will look at it in the morning.
Next day he gets in there and pulls out a dead female mouse, she was in the fan! Thats not the end of the story. Turns out she had babies in my car and I spent the next two weeks trying to catch the lil boogers. As I was driving down the PA turnpike, one ran along the back window of my car and right down the babies car seat! She had a total of 4 babies, at least thats how many I eventually caught. I bet not too many of you can say you have mouse glue traps under your car seat now can you? LOL

The craziest thing I've ever seen is back when I worked at an oil change place. A guy brought in his car because it was running like crap, and it smelled like dog food. Upon taking the air cleaner cover off, we found almost 5 lbs of dry dog kibble stuffed in every nook and crannie of his air cleaner and intake tube assembly. I'm suprised the car ran. When he got home, he called me to let me know that mice had gotten in the dog food bag in his garage, and stored it in his car, motorcycle, lawn mower and snowmobile. The area around the engine of his snowmobile had almost 15 lbs(over a 5 gallon bucket full). It was packed!

Wow, he either had mice for a good while or a whole slew of them running around!
I didnt know I had one until the problem with the car, funny how those lil boogers make their way into garages and then make a home in your car! I can tell you its a total trip to be driving around and see one running along your back dash!
My son found one of the other babies. We were driving along and I asked him to get something out of the glove box, when he did, it dropped out onto the floor, real tiny thing. Im shouting, GET IT, GET IT!!!! He put his foot over it and had this look of sheer terror LOL He grabs my burger king coupon laying there and picks it up with that and tosses it out the window and says "Im sorry about your coupon mom".

its a amazing thing how they do that. i remember one time when i was working at my last job at a car wash. i worked in the interior detailing section, well anyways this actually a grand prix came in. the 97-03 style with the 3.1 comes in and MAN! that thing is stinking real bad. the driver smelled it but didnt know what it was so they brought it in to see if we could get rid of the smell. we notice the smell isnt coming from the inside but from the engine bay. we pop the hood and sure enough in the 2 radiator fans is pieces of squirell throughout the whole fan. one brave employee put on rubber gloves and starting pulling out squirell parts. it was a very nasty site. im not even sure if we got rid of it becouse i had to walk away becouse the smell was so intense.
