Who makes the best Photoetch for disc brakes, gauges, steering wheels, best pre wired distributors, etc etc?

There isn't a simple answer to this question :(

There are several well reknowned producers of after market detailing prodcuts like the ones you mentioned. Finally it depends on what car you are making - one maufacturer will make a "better" kit for one model and another for a different model.

Some names you should be aware of are: Renaissance, Studio 27, Scale Motor Sports, Sakatsu, Detail master and a whole load of others.

Search the In Progress forums for threads with the kits/cars you are interested in and you will surely come up with useful info.

Also spend some time browsing www.hlj.com , http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/ and http://www.mediamixhobby.com.sg/catalog/index.php for deatil sets

Detail Master is generally better for non-specific pieces like distributors, coils, air filters, and other such parts. Model Car Garage's specialty is kit-specific photoetch for pieces like grilles, emblems, and trim.

I agree with the above statement, and would like to add that Detail Master has superb customer services, I can`t praise them enough.

I think MCG is way better, for the parts I use anyway.
