Car sounds SUPER LOUD, HELP

Hi all. I'm having a problem with my 95 3kgt SL so i wanted to turn to you guys for help. Umm Ok I was at the mall today, and i was pulling out of the parking lot. I got onto the street and i accelerated 1st really hard and got some wheel hop, nothing major. Right after the wheel hop my car sounded REALLY LOUD!!!!! LIKE A V8, or like a HUGE ricer muffler type of sound, maybe even worse. At first i thought it was my engine or something worst, but my car was running fine. I drove home on the highway doing 60. It's just that itz so fukin loud omg. The sound i would say is coming from under the car, mid to back. I think i have a huge hole in my piping sigh. But i'm not sure what to think. I'm gonna try to get it fixed first thing tomorrow morning. If i do have a hole in my piping, is the car still driveable? I have to take a trip 100miles away this friday, will i be able to do that? I don't htink you should have any problems... unless your entire exhaust system popped off somehwere (that is, if it popped off after the downpipe, it'll make it sound like you're running an open downpipe)... either way I really don't think you'll have any problem with a 100 mile trip... you'll just have a LOUD ass exhaust... btw does it sound nice???

sounds like an exhaust leak, probably knocked a bolt out or something. :dunno:

Lol yea i guess it sounds nice; it growls like a muscle car. It's even louder than my cousins modded civic. I showed my bro the problem and he was like WHOAAAA! I've lost so much power though it's ridiculous. I just really hope i can make that 100mile trip. I'm actually getting ready to take my 3kgt to the shop right now. I hope repair won't be too costly. I'll tell you guys what it was when i get back.

Sigh my downpipe is all rotted up. It's rotted right by the flex pipe. The shop said i would have to buy a new one. I am able to drive the car, but i wish i could some how temporarily mute this ANNOYING frickin loud ass sound. Not only that but my car seriously feels like it's 160hp this is ridiculous. I don't mind the power, for now i just want to get rid of this damn sound. Any advice on how i can get rid of this sound? I might take my car to an exhaust shop today and see if they could do anything about it. I'm going for a 100mile trip to PA this friday ............... when i get back i'll let you guys know how many tickets i got lol. Oh and i WILL get tickets. Ok if you can think of what a Mustang GT combined with a ricer exhaust muffler, THAT is what my car sounds like. It vibrates sooo much from the inside. THis SUCKS!

Yay i got my car fixed! Ok so the first shop that i went to told me i had to get a brand new down pipe, which is true because it's beginning to rot. It can manage for now bc it's not that bad, but i definitely will be replacing the piping withing these next few months. The part that was almost completely rotted and broken was my flex pipe. Now i don't know if i was ripped off, but my flex pipe was replaced with a brand new one for $180. I found it pricey, but since i NEED my car this weekend i was willing to pay for it. I was complaining about my car being so damn loud and now ironically it is SILENT!!! TOO SILENT lol, but when i bought my car i guess that part wasn't in very good shape because now my car has FULL POWER! It's frickin great. I feel it pull SO much more than it used to. Ok guys thanks for the help deeply! :)

It's even louder than my cousins modded civic.
