in my 92 rt i want to go a head and upgrade the computer befor problems occur. qustion is can i just slap me a 94 rt or sl comp in there and it worlk ok ? :pimp:

NO. Read the FAQ, about replacing the capacitators. AVPRO does it and gives you a lifetime warranty for $260. You can also look on 3si and find the caps for $5 and then find somebody locally or online to do it cheaper. Other year/model computers will NOT work.

actually, you can put a 94 or 95 federal spec ECU in your 92. All the pinouts are the same, you'll just end up with an OBD I/II hybrid ECU instead of an OBDI so your datalogging software will be different. Other than that, its plug and play.

And yes i have tried it before to see if it works. I put my 94 SL ECU in my friends 91 ES Stealth, and the car cranked right up and runs fine. His ECU has ran into some problems so thats why he has mine (that an i have TT ECU and his ECU, and i'm replacing the capacitors on his for him)
