im thinking about buying my friends gsr for 3k, it's a '95 with 145k miles, and a greddy cat-back and a aem cai. he can't drive a stick so he doesn't want it. he just doesn't ulderstand his cars potential. what problems should i be concerned about, it being an older car and such?

Fuel filter, air filter, T-belt, cap and rotor, plugs, plug wires, coolant flush, transmission oil change, engine oil change, possibly valve adjustment, clean out the vtec solenoid. Most of that shouldn't be a major concern (it's an Acura), but will all help keep the engine running correctly and last longer.

I'd say the T-belt is the only really major thing. Other than that if one of the other things go wrong, your car might run poorly until it's fixed or it might just not start.

If he couldn't drive stick i'd look at the tranny lol.

No really give her a test spin see if tranny is ok.

True dat. I've had my car for 2 years, and it's the first stick shift I've even driven. In the first few months alone, I destroyed my clutch. It slips so bad I have a hard time not making it stall every time I stop.
