Idle speed too fast

Problem with Renault espace 1993 2.0 litre petrol engine;
After engine warmed up, it idles at 2000 revs per min, any help on how to cure this would be really appreciated....Cheers

CTS, mine went and I got the same probs.

has the Vacuum pipe come off the top of the engine???, normally if it does the idle speed increases but it also uses alot more fuel.
