That dog never looked like it was even "living". Maybe it would look better after it has been dead for a few months.

While its true that the dog was ugly in some folks eyes, it found a good loving home and was taken cared of, plus it even recieved national/global recognition that some others never get. If she did not take that dog in, it would have been killed or worse hurt to death for its looks. It probably lived a good life with her.
Its probably in a better place where looks don't matter.
