I been having this problem since I finished with the awd conversion, everytime i move the steering wheel i can hear a really strange noice comming from the engine bay (power steering pump area). I changed the power steering belt last weekend and retensioned the belt, i thought that was the problem, but NO:disappoin. i don't know what to do, everytime the pump makes that noice the steering wheel feels kinda hard to turn it.
I checked the power steering fluid, and it's ok. So i'm kind of lost, don't know what else to check.
Thanks in advance.
Diego.

what does the noise sound like? how far do you have to turn the steering wheel to hear the noise?

I fix the problem already, the belt was to tight, there was one bolt missing, and the fluid was low, so i fixed all that and now is running like new. But for future information; the noice was not like the belt sliping was more like the pump making a grinding noice.
But it's ok now, thanks anyways
