1998 cont..keypad code not in trunk.

hi just bought a 1998 continential and the keypad code is not on the trunk hinges....is there another way to find out what the code is....thanks!

Yes there is:
The permanent code is labeled on the outside of the keyless entry module. You'll obviously have to get to the module in order to see the label.

The module is located inside the drivers door, mounted just below the switch panel. I'm not sure if you can get to it through the switch panel, it may be mounted too low.

Everyone just takes off the drivers door panel to get to the module.

If the code sticker is NOT on the module, look below the mounting point, the label may have come loose and fallen to the lower reaches of the door crevases.

If there's no sticker anywhere, you can still get the code by opening the module and reading the positions the resistors are soldered onto the circuit board: (see these ref's)

you can also try looking at your brain box in the trunk.that is where mine is
