IF the trac off light and ABS lights are on, it is possible that the wheel speed sensors and/or vehicle speed sensors are malfunctioning, and the DIC isn't getting a signal as to how far the car has traveled. Just an idea.

Anybody know how much is the new DIC, can I get an after market, how much would be the labor for installing, is it easy to self install??
Thanks

I believe installation is pretty simple, similar to replacing a radio. Remove the dash bezel, remove the bolts securing it to the dash, unplug and it's out. Installation is reverse of removal. Check e-bay, you may get a deal there.

GM says $350 for one from them. Just called them for a replacement on my 2001 GTP. Think I'll look elsewhere.

EBAY is usually your best bet, but I don't see any on there right now. Just the standard DIC.
You can try gmpartsdirect.com They are a gm dealer that sells everything basically at cost, but then drastically uprates the shipping/handling charges and that's how they make their money.

Just found this one on EBay... Only 4 hours left, though.
