Catalytic converter fault

I have an error appeared on my dash flashing between Catalytic converter fault, and anti pollution fault...

Does anybody know if this could be a major problem, or if I can get away with it like that for a while?

I have a 2002 307SW... also, would the CAT still be under warranty, although the car isnt any more?

Any help appreciated.
