Hey all,
I'm going to put on new pads and rotors next week and wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations. I don't want anything super expensive, but I'm willing to spend a little more to get something better. Especially on the front since these cars blow through rotors and pads b/c the weight.
Thanks..

I just put a good set of ceramic pads on my 02 (about 130). Very quiet. No dust. And very good stopping power even when wet.

I put new rotors and pads on my 97.5 Regal over a year ago.....Ceramic is definitly the best....As for rotors , i searched far and wide for a good brand at a good price...Most places wanted around $60-$70 per rotor...I found a place in Oceanside NY that charged me $28-front, and $30 back, for Wagner.....Name of the place is : Don-Jay Auto Phone# (516) 766-7140. Call them for a quote, ask for Mike, and tell him Steve sent you. He may give you a few more bucks off.

Blow through rotors????... my original factory pads and rotors had almost zero wear at 90,000 miles. I could not resist trying to upgrade and what a mistake. Drilled and slotted silver cadmium rotors with Hawk ceramic pads and Goodridge braided stainless steel brake hoses at all four corners.....braking is worse than original! Looks awesome though.

Rockauto.com is where I bought mine.
Check out what they offer - all the names at great prices. Just beware that brake pads and rotors are heavy, so shipping may be $20-25. I just put on Raybestos PG Plus rotors (smooth, no slots or holes) and Akebono ProAct ceramics, about a year ago. Go to there website and check prices. No dust from the ceramics is the best bonus - given that I bought the products to simply stop the car. My Aurora - 1997 112k - owned since 59k.
Thanks.
Brian.
